Here you will find resources you can use in your private piano studio. They will make life easier, provide fun on the piano lesson journey and save a bit of time as well.
As a music teacher with years of experience teaching private piano lessons, I have made and used more resources than I can remember. I am revisiting them and updating them to share them with you now.
This Snow Much Practicing practice chart was a studio hit. Students tracked their practice days. They came to their piano lesson and posted a snowflake anywhere in the studio they wanted to represent their practice days. Over the month the studio became covered in snow.
Snow Themed Practice Chart FREE
Track student practicing on piano or other instrument with a winter theme. Students check mark their practice days in boxes next to snowflakes. They cut out check marked snowflakes and place them around the classroom or studio. Students practice on their own but also work together and have fun trying to cover the classroom in snow.
The practice chart featured below helps students practice more effectively. So often we send them home with specific goals written down and they may still come back with not much progress. This certainly can indicate lack of practice but for some it's lack of effective practice. If we can teach students HOW to practice when we're not with them, they will make more efficient and noticable improvement.

Music Practice Poster guides student practice with a 10 step process from listening, to selecting trouble spots, to practicing trouble spots, and to goal setting for future practices. Resource students with strategies to successfully practice independently or in an ensemble without a teacher present. Use in a group setting to guide discussions about what needs practiced.
